Baileys Buttercream Frosting

As you may have gathered by now, when it comes to frosting, I love mine to be cream cheese, but I made an exception in this case. I made this Baileys buttercream as one of the fillings for my macarons and it was amazing! The Baileys macarons were definitely my favourite of the group, and this recipe is why.

A scrumptiously sweet treat good for filling macarons and decorating cupcakes and cakes.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp Baileys

Here’s what you do:

  • Cream together butter, icing sugar, vanilla, and Baileys

And voila ,that’s it! That’s why I love icing – even when it’s fancy, it’s the easiest thing to make! The original recipe says to add milk to the mixture if it’s too thick, but I didn’t need to.

So have fun and enjoy the decadence that is Baileys buttercream frosting!

I had some leftover frosting from filling the macarons, so I baked some vanilla cupcakes and put the remaining buttercream on them. It was an amazing combination 🙂
