Summer is the perfect time for ice cream, so why not make your own? Don’t have an ice cream maker? Not a problem! All this recipe needs is a blender and a freezer to whip up your bowl of deliciousness!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup dry yellow cake mix
- 2 tsp vanilla
Here’s what you do:
- Add all the ingredients into your blender and blend until mixture runs smooth
- Pour into metal loaf pan, seal with aluminum foil, and pop it in the freezer
- Freeze overnight
And that’s it! This is seriously the easiest thing I’ve ever done and it turned out amazing! It’s yummy, it’s sweet, it’s wonderful! This is a cake batter ice cream recipe worth repeating!
I decorated mine with sprinkles, then enjoyed it thoroughly.
Note: the original recipe called for 1/2 cup of sugar, but I found this unnecessary as my mixture was already sweet from the cake mix (which has sugar in it), so I suggest blending it first without the extra sugar, tasting it, then deciding for yourself.
