I’m back from my vacation and it was amazing! I’m incredibly sad to be home and back in reality. It definitely wasn’t a long enough trip (but when is it ever?) and I’m already dreaming about the next one.
I can’t wait to start sharing my stories. It was a trip full of castles, food, and history – the perfect kind of trip in my opinion.
Edinburgh is an amazing city. There was so much to do, we never ran out of things to see; it’s such a great change being in a European city. We walked absolutely everywhere, and at the end of every day I was exhausted and my feet were killing me but it was all worth it; the pain meant it had been a good and successful day. There’s nothing quite so satisfying as knowing you’ve just seen a piece of the world. My mental map is expanding, and I couldn’t be more happy with that fact.
Going back to work was the epitome of sadness, and this past week could not have felt longer. It’s made me realise that it’s definitely not the place I want to be. But for now, I have limited options, so I’m going to have to suck it up for a little while longer at least.
Oh, what a life it would be if I could just travel forever.
