I’m a big lover of all things coconut, so I thought to myself, I wonder if there are any recipes for smoothies using coconut water – and of course, the internet provided. So here are 2 great coconut water-based smoothies that I enjoy sipping on.
1. Tropical Coconut Smoothie
This one is probably my favourite of the two. It’s smooth, creamy, and all things glorious.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 banana
- 1 cup tropical fruit blend, frozen (mine had mango, pineapple, strawberries, and blueberries in it)
- 1/2 plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp honey
Blend it all up and enjoy!
2. Spinach Coconut Smoothie
This sounds slightly less appetizing, but it’s still really yummy, trust me.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup mixed berries, frozen (the package I got has strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cherries in it)
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach
- 1.5 tsp flax seed meal
Blend everything together and watch that spinach disappear!
