Ocean Salt – A Lush Review

Every year for Christmas I get a Lush giftbox. This year’s box included Ocean Salt, a face and body scrub that I’ve wanted to try for a long time. Now that I’ve tried it, I think I’m converted. It’s a great product.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Lush skin products; they’re probably my favourite of their products, along with the bath bombs. Ocean Salt did not disappoint.

As it says on the container, Ocean Salt is a face and body scrub that uses “sea salt with organic lime to brighten and avocado to soften.” It’s a great combination. The product has that lovely citrus-y smell from the lime, mixed in with a day at the beach – like sipping a margarita on the beach! It’s a super gentle exfoliator, so it’s not too harsh to use on the face, even for someone like me with super sensitive skin.

And oh, what it does to the skin!

It buffs away all those dead skin cells, leaving behind a smooth, softened skin that will have you running your hands along it constantly. It’s refreshing, rejuvenating, and simply divine. I love it. Whether you use it on your body or face, it’s going to do the trick and make you soft, soft, soft.

I think I’m going to start adding this to my regular routine, saving it mostly for my face. I’ll use it once or twice a week, after washing my face and before moisturizing. It’s been especially nice for right now, with the cold winter air drying out my skin.

I definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for some gentle exfoliation on your skin. It does the job swimmingly (get it, because ocean? Heh. Nevermind.).
