Our first castle of the trip was Edinburgh Castle. More of a military fortress than a royal home, Edinburgh Castle is full of museums of war and houses Scotland’s Crown Jewels, as well as the infamous Stone of Destiny. Edinburgh Castle sits at the top of a hill and has survived countless attacks, its position proving to be pretty much impenetrable – in fact, the only successful takeover of the castle was done by the Scots themselves, when they were taking back their castle from the English. The Stories of Edinburgh – Edinburgh Day 1
Our first official day in Edinburgh was filled with the stories of the city, from the writers who found inspiration there to the grave robbers who startled a corpse. Let the exploration begin! Continue reading “The Stories of Edinburgh – Edinburgh Day 1”
I’m Back!
I’m back from my vacation and it was amazing! I’m incredibly sad to be home and back in reality. It definitely wasn’t a long enough trip (but when is it ever?) and I’m already dreaming about the next one. Continue reading “I’m Back!”
Leaving for Scotland Soon!
I’m only a couple of days away from my vacation in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I could not be more excited. We know what we’re doing for the first few days, and then we’ll wing it from there. It’s been so long since I’ve been anywhere, so I’m happy simply to be leaving home and exploring a new place, but the fact that I’m going back to Europe really takes the cake. Continue reading “Leaving for Scotland Soon!”
My First Business Trip
I just got back from my very first business trip, which is a pretty cool statement. I got to fly out to Alberta to help with some training and interviewing. Three days straight of travelling, on a plane each of those days, travelling to two cities. Crazy town. Continue reading “My First Business Trip”

I Miss Europe
I really, really, really miss Europe. I miss travelling. I miss the freedom, and the joy, the adventure. I haven’t gone anywhere since coming back from Europe, save for a weekend trip over to Victoria back in February, and the travel bug is really starting to bite at me. I want to go somewhere! I’d take pretty much anywhere, but my list from last week covers the places I’d most like to see. Continue reading “I Miss Europe”
My Travel Wish List
I’ve been pretty lucky in my travel adventures – I’ve gotten to go to a lot of places I’ve long dreamed of visiting, and I’ve been wowed by places I never thought I’d end up. But there are still a lot of places in this world I’d like to go and see. Continue reading “My Travel Wish List”
Israel Days 28-30: My Last Days In Israel
My last few days in Israel felt like a pretty good summation of the trip on a whole. Of course, we had many group discussions about the things we had done and all we had learned, what to take away from the experience. We spent time with one another, getting in the last goodbyes before we were rushed onto our separate planes. But before all that, we got to see just a little bit more of Israel’s history – and it was really, really cool. Continue reading “Israel Days 28-30: My Last Days In Israel”
