I hope everyone had the best Christmas ever, or whichever holiday is it you celebrated, if any – I hope you had the very best weekend!

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. Everyone just seems happier, everything looks festive, there is wonder everywhere. And one of the things that I was most excited about getting to do was visiting the VanDusen Gardens Festival of Lights, which is a yearly light set up in the gardens, and it is so festive and so pretty, and something that I now want to go see every year. Snow? Snow!

Despite the fact that I live in Canada, rarely does it actually snow in my city, and when it does snow, it’s usually pretty light and it always rains the next day and washes everything away into a slushy mess. This is why I have made the claim, in the past, that I am not a huge fan of snow. It slows things down, makes a mess, gets everywhere, and because it is so rare where I live, no one knows how to deal with it and so all of those points get ten times worse.
